Look under the dash. Does it have an OBD II or ALDL connector.

That won't say for 100% certainty. The S-10s that were a bastard year
in 94 or 95 were actually a hybrid, and the connector was the OBD II
style.

That won't say for 100% certainty. The S-10s that were a bastard year
in 94 or 95 were actually a hybrid, and the connector was the OBD II
style.

The connector is OBD 2:

But the system is GM CCC3, 96 was a kind of split year also. At least that's
what I've found to be true.
